I have had seven sugeries in the past 6 yrs, two major hip replacements. I have had valley fever and almost died from that and now I am faced with neck and shoulder surgery but do not intend to have another surgery in my life. I am in constant pain, my right wrist hurts so bad I can hardly use it, I am 55 and menopausal, suffer from insomnia, irritability, skin, hair and nails are in bad shape, so tired that each day all I want to do is stay in bed and I am so depressed that I really don't care from one day to the next if I am alive. I was given this site by a friend and listened to Michelle's testimony. Can I find the doctor who helped her please and know what the name of the gel is. I have been to more doctors in the past six years than I care to remember and have no hope for my life at this time. I am a bit uneasy about becoming a member as I do not think I am ready to be this open with the world...but hope someday I can so I can help others. I live in Surprise, AZ. Thank you for anything you can do to help.

Hi,
We are so happy you have found our site, and welcome you as a Guest or Member! You can always create a "pseudoname", so your friends and family will not know your real name, but we are able to have ongoing conversations with you easier than to another "anonymous"....just whenever you are ready.

We will find the name of the doctor Michelle recommends in AZ. Here is some information from her post regarding the medication and resource she used:
"a good friend sent me a book entitled “Screaming to be Heard,” by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet. It was about how women suffer silently, how we hide our pain and let it fester inside us. Luckily, she lived near me and I was able to meet with her. She immediately started weaning me off of my medications and put me on Estrogel and Magnesium, and after just a few days I started feeling better."

Please take care. I am sorry you are in so much pain, and we are here to help provide you with resources, information, inspiration...or just a sounding board to vent.

We'll be in touch again, soon.

Thank you...I reserved the book at the library and will look into the estrogel as I am already taking magnesium. I will look forward to knowing a good doctor to see as I stated I am all doctored-out. I aure appreciate your quick response Alison.

Great---so glad to hear back from you!

Michelle's doctor is Dr. Vliet, whose book she also recommended above.

Please let us know how you are doing, and if you are able to contact Dr. Vliet.

sent an e-mail, called and faxed but nothing yet with Dr. Vliet. Is there anyone in the PHX area that you can recommend to see? I ordered the book. Thank you!
