Every time I eat oyster sauce I become light headed, tired, head rush, weak.
sleepy. Should this be a great concern.

Hi Dolores - What you're describing sounds like a food allergy, which is an adverse or abnormal reaction to a food or a food additive. The type of reactions people with food allergies have include:

* Gurgling stomach
* Stomach cramps, pain
* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Skin rash, especially hives
* Skin itching
* Cough
* Wheezing
* Shortness of breath
* Swelling in lips, mouth, tongue, throat
* Nasal congestion
* Severe drop in blood pressure

About two percent of the population is allergic to shellfish, which fall into two categories: crustaceans (shrimp, crab and lobster) and mollusks (oysters, squid, octopus, scallops and mussels.) Since you seem to have a reaction to oysters you may also want to avoid the other mollusks, and even crustaceans.
