I last wrote on here that I was trying to conceive and hadn't missed my period. They responded and said I should test after a missed period which would have been thursday 3-18-10. It is now two days past and a neg test. No signs of a menstrual period. Where do I go from here? The anount of days in between my last period is more than 28 days... Should I wait until the end of the month? What if I miss my period this month and the test stills says neg... I don't get morning sickness so I wouldn't be able to tell by that.

Thank you for your question, anonymous. Pregnancy tests are measuring the hCG in your urine which determines if you are pregnant or not. Now, your hCG does increase over time so you can wait about a week and try again to see if you have the same response.

If you miss your period with negative results from home pregnancy tests, go to your physician as they will test your blood for hCG which have a more accurate result.

You may have other symptoms besides morning sickness which you will be able to tell. Sore breasts, frequency in urination, fatigue, back aches, and headaches are common ones.

Remember too that trying to get pregnant may take some time so don't get frustrated and try to enjoy the time together trying. I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any further questions, please ask. Will you keep us updated?
