I am 28 years old I was married for 5 years my ex husband and his mother used to physically and emotionally abuse me as well as verbal. I have 2 young children age 5 and 3. Will I ever find love or should I just give up on love? I am not the type to go out and stuff so how can I meet new people and is there a guy out there who will accept me as I have bio polar on meds and have 2 children

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Sorry to hear about your marriage and all the physical abuse. No one has to tolerate any abuse from anyone. You made the right choice by ending that marriage.  Because you have Bipolar or children, that should not be a reason why you can not meet or be in another relationship.  Bipolar should always be treated by seeing a physician. Going out with friends or maybe joining a group at church are different ways you can meet someone else. Since you are feeling this way and after being an abusive relationship, it might also be best to seek help from a psychotherapist.  This will also help in any future relationship.

Best of luck and keep us posted,

Daisy
