Hi Kymbo87-

I'm sorry you are in this situation, because it can be very upsetting.

First, this probably has nothing to do with your appearance whatsoever. I would throw that worry right out. Is there a reason you aren't believing what your partner is telling you? Because it sounds like he is in a tough spot. Epilepsy is a very difficult problem to have. The seizures are physically and emotionally exhausting, and scary no matter how long you've been dealing with them. The medication makes you tired, mentally foggy, and sometimes cause weight issues. so he is dealing with a lot. Two-three seizures a month is a lot of seizures, and makes me wonder if his medicine is working properly. Every seizure deprives your brain of some oxygen. It is a big deal. So when he says he is tired and acts like he doesn't feel well, he probably doesn't. He may have lost his sex drive as well. That's a lot to deal with on top of becoming a father.

My suggestion is to really listen to him and talk about how he is feeling. He may need to visit his neurologist to get his seizures under better control. You need some open communication and you need to really listen-not to your fears or assumptions, but really listen to what your partner is saying. That's when you will be able to figure out what is happening and why.
