Hello. I need direction. I saw Dr. Sarrel's video series and knew immediately that there is hope. I have been suffering through severe menopause symptoms for 6 years, following a hysterectomy (ovaries intact). I have seen three different doctors who've prescribed bio-identical HRT. I need someone competent and well informed to adjust the compounds. I have all of the menopause symptoms, including severe crying spells that last any where from one or two days to a week per month. My breasts become tender, I get cystic pimples and hot flashes; take many supplements and anxiety medications; have insomnia... I am told I am Atypical by a psychologist I see. The psychiatrist does not acknowledge the hormonal role -- he just sees a weepy woman who should be on medication. PLEASE help me. I need guidance and direction. I have taken two leaves of absence from my job as a teacher due to the mood swings. I am not a depressed person: I just get weepy in some crazy pattern; or cycle. It goes away and then comes back. I can't concentrate; I forget everything. MY gynecologist says I have the most severe case he's ever seen. I've been to endocrinologists, cardiologists; so many specialists. I know it is hormones. I feel it in my body. I have been tracking it for years. The problem is: Nobody can help me. So, I suffer. I also can feel pinches in my lower abdomen once in a while. I attribute this to ovulating. I'm not sure, but I suspect. I am very in tune with my body; now I need experts in the field. PLease help me. Jeanette Ricci.
