I'm 28 year old married women. We are trying for pregnancy. We have taken many tests and found that both of us are normal. However inspite of trying for the past 1 year no success.....
Hence I had an IUI last month and it failed. last month I was on clomid and progesterone intake with 3 ruptured follicles....Still no success. After a week of ovulation i had mild cramping on my lower abdomen (exactly below my belly point). I thought its implantation cramp. But unfortunately got my periods!!

This month also I'm experiencing the same cramp after 1 week of ovulation. I'm really really worried. I wanted to know does progesterone intake cause such crampings. Pls let me know...

Hi empower,

Thanks for your post!

Yes, the hormone progesterone can give some side effects that mimic those of PMS including sore breasts or cramps.

Are you having sex every other day from about day 9 of your cycle through about day 20?
