Hello Jessica,

La Leche League incorporated in 1958. Its mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

To learn more about this organization and its history, please visit the La Leche League website, http://www.llli.org/ab.html?m=1

Medela is a company that offers breastfeeding products, such as breast pumps.

I am not aware of any endorsement or business collaboration between La Leche League and Medela.
