What is the normal level for vitamin D in women over 50?

A woman should have a bare minimum of 32 ng/mL vitamin D in her body but 40-50, especially in women over 50, is better. A woman over 50 should take a supplement of about 1000 per day - as well as a little sunshine. If there is no sunshine, she can increase her vitamin to 2000.
