When to test?

I missed my period this month, and didn't think much of it. However, about two days ago I had some pink when I wiped that seems like it could be implantation bleeding. How long should I wait until I take a test?

Hello ccphelps11,

With an early response pregnancy test, you can test five to six days before your expected start date.

For the most accurate result, wait until your period is late by at least seven days. Test in the morning and use the first urine of the day, which is most concentrated.

Implantation bleeding occurs about six to 12 days following conception. Once the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus, hCG, which is the hormone produced by the cells that will form the placenta, will be secreted. Levels of hCG can be detected in urine about 12 to 14 days following conception, and in blood, about 11 days.

Regards,
Maryann
