I had unprotected sex on the 8th of july and took EP on the 9th of july. Two weeks later I noticed light spotting. I took a pregnancy test on 4th september and it shows positive. How did this happen? I have not had any intercourse since then.

Have you had a blood pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy?
An emergency contraceptive prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation.If one of your ovaries released an egg five days before or on the day of unprotected sex, it was too late for the ECP to be effective.
