Dear Abby Shares If Alzheimer's Has Altered The Relationship With Her Mother (VIDEO)

December 12, 2008 - 1:20pm 269 reads 0 comments

Dear Abby shares if she is still able to interact in a mother-daughter relationship with the original Dear Abby, her mother with Alzheimer's disease.

Dear Abby:
No, dreadful. It feels like a churning in my stomach. I have said before that I am very angry that somebody like my mother would get a disease like this because I never saw it coming. I had no clue. The idea that the one organ my mother used the most, used to the max, was the one that would fail her? Her brain, her mentation, it was beyond belief and it’s still, it’s infuriating to me. This long drawn-out process for her; losing herself. It makes me angry, and I am not sure I am ever going to get over that anger.
