Sally Field:
Well, it means a lot. I mean, they have been doing this a lot longer than I have to try to bring about osteoporosis awareness in support groups, to really get it out there that this is a very dangerous disease.
I have been doing a lot less time and my association with Boniva has only been for four years, but I think, in that time we have really awakened a lot of women that they should, attention must be paid, and we have tried to and we continue, and I believe now the Surgeon General--we don’t have a Surgeon General right now, but soon we will and just hang on, we will have one soon--but the old Surgeon General, that now they have declared osteoporosis, along with breast cancer and heart disease, as the major, one of the three major threats to women’s health and that was very important that that be done so that it be taken seriously everywhere.
