Sophia introduces herself and recalls why she wanted to have gastric bypass surgery.

Sophia:
Hi, I am Sophia. I am a patient of Dr. Dahiya’s. He performed the gastric bypass surgery, and I have lost 78 pounds.

I just got tired of all the dieting, the ups and downs, just everything. I just, I knew it was time. I knew it was time and got tired of not being able to do things with my children, and I just was ready for it. When I couldn’t play with my kids, I mean, you know, I have four kids. I want to go out there, play ball with them, just hang out with them, and I just couldn’t. It’s awful. It’s awful, you know.

Maybe there was times with my kids, you know, kind of like “Oh Mom, get away,” but I mean, now it’s more they want to hang out. They enjoy doing things with me. We go to the beach. We do all kinds of things. You know, it’s just , it’s great now.
