Food can be your poison or your medicine. The possibilities are endless in terms of foods that heal. Seaweed can repair and strengthen the thyroid, certain spices like garlic, ginger, cinnamon and cayenne can lower blood pressure or help to raise our energy (chi) thereby warming and nourishing us. greens can alkalinize allowing our immune systems to fight disease more efficiently. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower aid in fighting caner and berries are high in antioxidants. After eating these foods we feel clean, healthy invigorated and alive,why then do we continue to shove the most debilitating foods into our mouths when we dont feel good after we eat them? Have we not all eaten the pizza, soda or big mac before? we know we immediately feel inflamed, our digestive track is screaming at us and we hate ourselves in the morning. So why do we do this all in the name of eating? Because food is the number 1 addiction in this country and most of us dont know how to prepare the easy healthy alternative. People actually think that eating healthy is hard work but I am living proof that it is not. I offer you some easy healthy and delicious recipes. You can eat this way and enjoy your health or as my guru used to say to me, eat the junk/poison and "enjoy the pain!"
