I wrote on this site before about how my menstrual cycle had been pretty messed up for basically my whole life that brought on a array of issues. I had been trying to have kids since I got married at 19 but it could never happen due to my cycles , never knowing how long it would be never knowing when it was gonna come but for the past year its been messed up to the point that it went on for 5 months my doctor tried birth control but it didn't make much of a difference. well my birthday just passed on the 16th and my birthday gift and the best one I could possibly hope for was that I am pregnant by 8 weeks.for the first time in my life. Scared yep Happy extremely so how do you keep yourself calm and not worry so much i'm trying very hard not to get stressed out because i don't want to give harm to the baby its just i don't know how not to worry especially since Ive waited so long for this.

Congratulations!!!! I'm delighted for your good news!
Saying "try not to worry" is a bit pointless because it doesn't make anyone stop worrying!
However, you can take comfort in knowing that you are only a few weeks away from your second trimester where you are far less likely to experience a miscarriage. It'll be here before you know it.
Also, take a strange kind of comfort in knowing that aside from a healthy diet and not doing anything like drinking or smoking that could harm your baby, there isn't anything you can do. It's in nature's hands now and all you can do be a safe driver for your tiny passenger!
Take warm baths (stay away from hot tubs!) and sleep as much as you can - take exercise and eat well. Listen to music you love and allow others to share your joy (if you have told them). Your job is to take care of you!
I was terrified in my first trimesters (especially with my eldest). It's always a little scary for most women. The stressed you are, the better it is for baby. While you will always be a little nervous, try to use some relaxing techniques and a good diet with lots of rest to de-stress yourself.
Enjoy your good new and congrats again!
