Include Vulvar Dystrophy information on your My EmpowHer page
Vulvar dystrophy is a change in the skin of the vulva. It may be caused by infections, irritants, or the human papilloma virus, HPV. The skin gets thin, and parchment-like and becomes white and shiny. The disease is progressive and can lead to the narrowing of the vaginal opening and rectal opening if untreated.
