Cybele Pascal shares some tasty treats that people with food allergies can safely consume and recalls if is it simple to find dairy substitutes for those who are lactose intolerant.
Well you can enjoy every single one of the hundred recipes in my baking cookbook. You can have chocolate chip cookies; you can have chocolate layer cake; you can have, let’s seem banana flax muffins; you could have anything you want. I mean seriously if you want something, I will create the recipe for you.
I do a food allergy recipe challenge on Martha Stewart’s “Whole Living” and every week people write in and they give me a challenge or a request for a food that they have been missing and they want it converted and I convert them.
It’s very easy at this point to substitute dairy because there’s so many things in the marketplace. If you can have soy, you can have soymilk. If you can have soy yogurt, you can have soy yogurt, you can have rice milk, you can have hemp milk now. So I think it’s much easier to avoid dairy than it is to avoid gluten or eggs.
