Hair Loss: Do You Have Any Medical Conditions That Could Be Affecting This?

Joyce shares if she has any medical conditions that could be contributing to her hair loss.

Joyce:
One thing that happened to me last May, middle of last May, was that I ended up having an abscess in my colon and none of the doctors could explain why it occurred.

It’s just, you know, one of those things that happened. May never happen again hopefully, but since that time, and I didn’t know it at the time, I didn’t know it last May, but in reflection I know now that last summer is when I began to notice more hair in the bottom of the shower, more hair in the hair brush and that sort of thing.

Again, I didn’t put two and two together, but I believe, because of a lot of other kind of subtle bodily changes, that is the genesis of my hair loss beginning and I don’t know the connection because I don’t know what caused that particular illness, but I believe that was the beginning of it.

It may have been nothing more than the fact that I had to take some really, really strong medicine for a couple of weeks to get rid of the abscess and so that may have caused it.

Also had to go through a battery of tests to figure out what was wrong and the battery of tests of course ended up determining that it was a problem in my colon.

So, those things were pretty strong. That may have started it. And I would encourage those of you in the audience to really go back and reflect and try to put two and two together and at least come up with three and a half.

I mean I haven’t come up with four yet. I don’t know what really started this and I don’t know if what I am doing now to help this condition is truly helping, but I believe I am getting much closer to two and two being four than I would have had I not reflected and began to add things together.
