Joyce shares when she first noticed losing her hair.
Joyce:
I am Joyce. I am an organizational development specialist. I own my own company. After 30 plus years of corporate America I got tired of traveling so I decided I want flexibility and yet the ability to do what I love.
About six weeks ago, two months ago at the most, I realized that I was losing more hair than I had in the past, and on reflection I know what started about a year ago. So I want to share that story with you.
My hair has always been thinner than I wanted it to be because I really admire people that have thick, luscious, lots of hair, and the hairstyles I always wanted required that. So of course you never have what you want.
In college my hair felt much thicker and had more body than it does now and I know a lot of that change was just hormonal and aging and so forth.
As I have gotten older, it has gotten straighter and straighter and straighter so I have to work to get any kind of bend to it and it’s gradually gotten a bit thinner.
I assume that’s probably just natural aging, but I noticed in the last couple of months much more hair in my hair brush, left in the hair brush, and more share it like in the bottom of the shower and that sort of thing.
As I, and frankly I didn’t think much of it until about a month ago a friend said, “You’ve got always little broken hairs along the top of your hairline here and I can see them kind of sticking out in the sunlight right up here in the crown of your hair” and I began looking at it and she was absolutely right.
And then I went to get my hair cut and my hair stylist, who I love and believe in her knowledge, said to me, “Your hair is getting thinner. You are losing hair.”
So it made me begin to stop and think about what might be causing this, when did it start, and then, what the heck do I do about it?

Genetics, stress, hormonal imbalances can be attributed as the major factors with hair loss. However, a test with the doctor is essential to diagnose the right problem.
