Building -- or if need be, re-building -- a healthy gut is the first step toward improving mood and energy, and can even improve gynecological issues.

I am the naturopathic physician at the Center for True Harmony Wellness and Medicine in Mesa, Arizona.
My practice focuses on women’s health, gynecological issues, general wellness, gut health.
One of the biggest complaints that I see from women, in general, whether I am seeing them naturopathically or whether I am seeing them for just general gynecological issues, is they come in here complaining of fatigue.
And any time anybody comes in with stress issues, with complaints of fatigue, we have to start at the gut.
And the reason why we have to start off the gut is of course because it’s the cornerstone. It is considered the foundation of you as a triangle.
And if you do not have a strong foundation it does not matter what you build on top of that foundation, it’s going to be weak.
So we have to build up the gut as well as specifically dealing with fatigue and stress you have to also consider that your gut is your second brain.
You have just as many neurotransmitters in your gut as you do in your brain. So if you want to affect your mood, affect your energy, you have to have a healthy gut.
