Acupuncture is extremely effective and helpful in infertility situations. There are numerous studies now that have came out, that have shown acupuncture very helpful during IVF embryo transfers where that the IVF can, the implantation in a pregnancy can be more successful, up to 40 to 50% more.

Obviously, these are small studies and these studies need to be further on increased in size; we need to repeat them and do more of them to validate the effect of acupuncture but by preliminarily, that is very promising. It does show how acupuncture alters blood flow in the uterus, in your ovary area, it does improve it dramatically.

We do know that acupuncture can also change ovarian function. It helps to improve your ovulation function; it helps it to develop in the ovaries. It helps the uterus to build the lining very nicely. So these are some of the things that we know about that acupuncture can be extremely helpful in helping a woman implant and get pregnant.
