Patty describes the Young Survival Coalition.
Patty Brisben:
I wanted to, I wanted help women going through cancer. I was really astounded, I didn’t know, I was, we could have donated money, we could have donated money for the Cancer Society. There was a lot of things that we could have done. I was just, I couldn’t believe that there were not any programs in play to really talk to these young women who were going through breast cancer about intimacy issues.
We took a group of our consultants and we trained them to be sensuality, sexuality and survival consultants. These are consultants that can go into Susan G. Komen, Young Survival Coalition, any support group, and to be able to provide information regarding women’s sexual health when going through the ill effects of breast cancer.
So, now over here, I go to the Young Survival Coalition and I speak to these women and we have what is called a pajama party and these women get to come in PJs and they get to take home products that will take, that will start their relationship and take it to another level.
So, it’s a wonderful evening and I am so glad that Pure Romance is able to provide information and also products. Pure Romance also has products that are specially made for women going through cancer. So, there’s a lot of things that we have done to help these women.
