Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

Postinor 2 is 95% effective in preventing pregnancy. A woman knows the pill worked once she has vaginal bleeding. This is not her normal period, but rather breakthrough (bleeding between periods) caused by taking the pill.

No need to worry. Some women will experience cramping after taking the pill. No need to any thing right now, but wait for the bleeding to start.

Regards,
Maryann
