Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question.

Do you have these symptoms directly after sex? Do you experience the vaginal pain, burning and itching constantly?

You must be examined by your gynecologist or primary care physician.

Vaginitis, which is inflammation of the vagina, could be the problem. Bacterial vaginosis is one type of vaginitis. It is caused by an overgrowth of "bad" bacteria found in the vagina. It is linked to sexual intercourse, especially if you have multiple sex partners or a new sex partner.

Regards,
Maryann
