Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

It is not uncommon for a girl's menstrual cycle to be irregular when she has just started menstruation.

Try to relax because stressing out about this can delay your period.

I am concerned that you are so young and already sexually active. Were you pressured to do this? Can you speak to your mother about what has happened? Please stop and reconsider before you engage in sexual intercourse again. You need to be aware of the risks, both emotional and physical.

Regards,
Maryann

Hi Anonymous,

The length of a menstrual cycle varies among women. You need to determine your own menstrual cycle length. Using a calendar, mark the day your period starts. Mark the day your period ends. After a few months, you should notice a pattern of how many days there are between the last day of one period to the first day of the next period.

Regards,
Maryann
