Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.
The vagina is inside of the body. Pregnancy happens when a man inserts his penis into the woman's vagina and releases semen. This can only happen if the woman has ovulated. That means one of her ovaries has released a mature egg. A woman is fertile five days before she ovulates and on the day she ovulates.
I urge you to wear a condom and for your partner to use some type of birth control. Options include a daily pill, having an IUD inserted or getting a Depo-Provera injection every three months.
Abstinence is the only 100% guaranteed way to prevent pregnancy. Otherwise, you both need to practice safer sex to avoid an unwanted pregnancy.
