Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us with your concerns about possible pregnancy and use of Postinor.
Postinor is intended to be used only in an emergency situation, such as the condom broke, It is not to be used as birth control.
Postinor is effective in preventing pregnancy if taken within 72 hours and most effective if taken as soon as possible. The second pill must be taken 12 hours later.
It prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation.
Anonymous, you can expect Postinor to have worked for you if you took the first pill within 72 hours of having intercourse and took the second pill 12 hours later. You should have been protected for both times if you eventually took the second pill.
You will know that you did not become pregnant if you have vaginal bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill.
Hope this helps,
