Can I be pregnant even after a period?

I'm an eighteen year old virgin. On 31st March, we were fooling around, which was two days before my period was due. His penis touched my vagina, and it was there for sometime. No penetration, and he didn't come inside me. But it was wet with pre-ejaculate . But he had urinated since last ejaculation, so there shouldn't be any sperms yeah? I got my periods two days later, on April 2nd, which was correct on time, and I had heavy bleeding with my usual five day long period followed by dry days. Is there any chance that I could still be pregnant? I'm freaking out, and always feels like I've abdominal cramps, but I don't have any pregnancy symptoms. Thanks.

Hello Thankamma,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am glad to reached out to us with your concern that you might be pregnant.

You are not pregnant. That was confirmed by having a normal period.

Just so you know, your vagina is inside of your body. The external genitalia, which includes the labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and vestibule of the vagina, is called the vulva.

Without penetration into your vagina, ejaculation of semen which contains sperm and a released mature egg to fertilize, there was no way to become pregnant.

Regards,
Maryann
