I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend but I took the morning after pill to be on the safe side. 6 days later I had my period but i haven't gotten my period for this month is there a possible chance that I might be pregnant?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Vaginal bleeding six days after taking the morning after pills indicates that the pill was effective in preventing pregnancy and you are not pregnant.

Some women, like yourself, experience a change in their next period as a side effect of the pill. The next period may start earlier or later than normal. In your case, it is later than normal. Some women notice that the flow is lighter or heavier than normal.

In a month or two, your menstrual cycle should return to normal.

Regards,
Maryann
