Chances of me being pregnant.

I took my birth control regularly and then I stipped. (Dumb, I know.) when I stopped I bled some. I took it again for a week and stopped. The day after I stopped, and the day after that I had unprotected sex. He did not ejaculate in me nor has her ever. Tuesday I started bleeding new blood, cramping, and it had clots and lasted for 3 days. I have anxiety and I have been searching for answers to see what are my chances of still being pregnant. The only symptom I have is sensitive nipples (I'm not bc again now and on an antibiotic so I think that's why) and constipation (I haven't been drinking water and I'm very stressed over this.) I know this sounds dumb but my anxiety doesn't let me let things go. I just need some reassurance and answers.

Hi Vivian123,

Thank you for sharing your question.

I understand your concern.  Because you have been inconsistent with your birth control pills, as well as participated in unprotected sex, you could potentially be pregnant.   There's no way to know what your chances are, but just know it exist due to the activity you described.

With regards to the bleeding, clots, cramping and sensitive nipples, those are all menstrual symptoms.  It sounds like your body is trying to adjust to you taking birth control pills, stopping, then starting again.

Don't beat yourself up over it.  If you really want to ease your anxiety about "potentially" being pregnant, take a home pregnancy test.  However, taking one too soon can give you a false reading.

Since you are having menstrual cycle, I would take note of your current one and how your body is responding until your next cycle.  Keep an eye on any changes, specifically, if your menstrual cycle is late at least 7 days.

Take a deep breath and take care.  I hope this helps.

Be well

Thank you so much for your input. I forgot to add I started bleeding before I took a new pack, & it felt like a regular period.
