So I am currently taking the birth control pill sprintec and have been taking it at the same time everyday. My boyfriend and I currently are having sex . I am worried that I could be pregnant because three weeks ago we were having sex and his mom came down stairs so he pulled out and decided to reuse the condom. He had only been wearing it for two mins anyways. I was supposed to get my period on December 25th but my period has been coming at the end of the month. like for instance in November my period started the 27th and ended on the 2nd I started taking my pill the day my period ended. Ive been on the pill for exactly a year and a half and I always take it at the same time everyday to prevent pregnancy. I really do not want a kid right now so anyways since my period started the 27th and ended the 2nd is there anyway I could be pregnant I have taken three tests one before when my period was supposed to start and one the five days after I took one this last Friday they all came back negative but I still haven't gotten my period the delay could be due to the stress I was under for finals . Me and him always have protected sex we always use condoms. I just am really stressed about this is there any way I could be pregnant.?

Hello Marie,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us for help.

Your period should have started while you were taking the inactive or reminder pills. Indeed, stress can cause a delay in the start of your period.

I do not think pregnancy is the cause of your late period. If your period has not started by the time you take the last inactive pill, please consult your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
