If anyone suffers from this, PLEASE contact me!! I've been having bladder and urinary pain for months. My urologist doesn't think I have Interstitial Cystitis, but I do have Trigonitis. I can't find any information on this. PLEASE HELP!!

I have trigonalitis . I have it for about 2 months . I have had a cystoscope and he flushed by bladder out . While doing that he made me bleed really bad . Which made him have to carterize my bladder . I still have all the symptoms . I burn so so bad after urinating. He does not have me scheduled to come back in for 5 weeks . Gave me pain pills and antibiotic . Nothing works . I miserable . I need some advice

To Leanne from anonymous. Leanne my name is Audrey, thank you for your reply. Once again i have relapsed quite badly, i cannot work out what trigger the trigonitis to get worse. Is it stress? or the foods we eat? or exercise. I felt better for a few weeks and was actually smiling, but the symptoms of my ascending trigonitis are back with the burning sensation after urination. I have come of the antidressants, i hated it. I could not function at work with an unclear mind let alone dealing with the problems below. Sometimes i wonder is life worth living with this condition, but i have two children and a very suportive husband and feel that with the information you have given me I will be making some inquiries into CYCYSTAT. I am glad you are much better and i wish you all the happiness, and good health. Thank you for your reply and help.

Audrey if the Cycstat does not work for you try azo maximum strength. I'm going to include a link to it http://www.azoproducts.com/products/azo_standard_max (just copy and paste it into your browser) I wish that my doctor had told me about this. It seems to be the only way that I get relief, and it is over the counter! I've tried cycstat too, but it seemed to make my symptoms worse, but everyone's body is different, and different things work for different people. It is my life savor! my urologist has told me it is safe to take regularly. I hope this info helps you get some relief!

Hi, I've registered now so you know who's writing what. I wrote the post about Evening Primrose Oil. In response to Clonte I'm not sure if it was the synthetic oestrogen that caused my bladder damage, I have read somewhere that the progestins in bc can irritate the urethra but there is so much info it gets confusing, I'd say just give the EPO a try you never know it might work for you but I only think they work for me cause I know I've got low levels of oestrogen. My theory (!) is that because the pill stops ovulation, I wasn't building up enough oestrogen to protect my bladder. Since stopping bc (I was on Microgynon 30 by the way) I got diagnosed with PCOS and my hormones showed low oestrogen/slightly high testosterone. I was taking EPO for pms it was just by stopping them (did nothing for my dreadful PMS either) I noticed my bladder pain flared up again which made me think maybe it was helping my bladder. I also wanted to add that although EPO has taken away all the pain I still have a problem with frequency I suspect maybe nerves have been damaged due to so many infections?? I pee constantly still especially around ovulation because my ovaries are slightly bigger due to the cysts, my gyno said this puts pressure on the bladder!!! BUT I will happily cope with that because just to get rid of that awful constant pain is enough for me at the moment. 10 months now of no bladder pain I never thought I'd be able to say it :o)

hi ashpan
i have just returned from my long awaited appointment with my new urologist and she has told me that the term trigonitis is no longer used (in Australia at least) but my condition is interstitual cystitis (IC) and have had hunner ulcers. she has prescribed low dose Macrodantin (antibiotic) for a few months and Endep which is also used as an antidepressant but is useful in helping with frequency etc. and some patches which is used for calming the bladder spasams down (forget the name sorry). I have only taken the macrodantin so far and i had to increase the dose for a few days as i got an infection from the cystoscope.i am a bit worried about taking the Endep quite frankly as i had these prescribed to me many years ago for post natal depression and they firstly knocked me out for a week and then i felt sucicidal. i dont want to go there. i would rather go to the toilet many times a day as long as (like you ) i am not in pain.
by the way my reumatologist just diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and guess what, IC is one of the things that are on the (very long) symptom list so i wonder how many of you girls out there have fibromyalgia as well.
hope this note finds you well

clonte,
Thank you so much for your update after your medical appointment. I'm happy to hear everything went well, you sound like you are in good spirits, although you still have some concerns (and ongoing symptoms, of course).

Please keep us updated once you have taken the medicine, to let us know how you are doing.

Take care!

I am registred..cant remember my name! Sorry..

Seems to me like everyody so far knows about oil of oregano, it serves for desinfenction of litteraly everything , from inside to out-side, just google..there is a topic on ooo lovers at (link removed) forum -that one is funny and full of xperiences, but there is a ton of info in the net , besides that one..

It kills all the germs, fungus parasites, viruses...keeps you kleen. And the bladdr. I am taking it oraly, and externaly, I put it on my stomach and feet..and I sniff it..when I have cold. Health stores has , just get info first ,than buy

About the water yhe important thing is to take it slowly , very slowly but in continuity, while breathing normaly, to avoid choking.
When nobody looks and interupts you. Bfore washing teeth.

I was getting used to it for a week. Now I love it, I feel just fine. And I recommend/some criticise me but they did not suffer from trigonitis ever. They cant understand. Its ok to start with two full mnths, and then see the results, it is an experience!
I discovered water...I did it forTWO MONTHS. Like I discovered life. Now I take a bit less, occasionaly when I remember how bad I was I take full 1.2l at once.
but in general I drink it everyday in the morning, a leas o.6l, and in the afternon, and in the evening...wash myselfe from inside, just like outside.
about hormones, I feel they are harrasing me sometimes, I am afraid to take them, and i do not have to, at this point, not yet the time..so I do not know much. I was given birth pills because of trigonitis but I decided t keep on tryig without them, dangerous thing to play with.
and you can combine water and ooo with some fresh orange juice,bt every day 2 glasses helps detox as well as ooo. on empty stomach. Do not eat one hour beore or after taking water or oj. And reduced food, no heavy, greasy etc products. I regained health..but fr my boyfriend, I agree tht he woul be happier with me on te pill, because sometimes I burst.. ,.its starting, I am 44 yo..water and food are anwrs for all. We are al dehydated, that is the illnss of our times. Brain takes it all, and organs are dying thirsty. Bldder goes first , in our cases.
Ive learned a lot thanking that problem
