I had sex a day before my period is due...and now I am 3 days late...I have the bloatation and all the pre menstrual symptoms but not bleeding yet...I am 21...and have regular periods only sometimes it fluctuates a week give or take..I took a home pregnancy test and it came out negative..and I am hell worried that I may be actually pregnant.I dont know what to do..

Sorry, Anon, there really is no way to tell the difference between pregnancy symptoms and menstrual cycle symptoms.

Thanks for your post. You may be impacted by stress, which can cause irregular periods, and you mentioned that you've had irregular periods before.

Pregnancy tests detect whether your blood or urine has a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) which is produced after a fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus. This usually happens about six days after after fertilization. Based on the dates in your post, you may want to take another test on day seven or later to see if you get negative results again.

Thanks alot pat,so I have still chances of being pregnant...and all the symptoms I have myt be of pregnancy...no matter how many times I get a test right now its going to be futile...this wait is killing m..do you have any other ways of differentiating between pregnancy symptoms and period symptoms??
