Guide

Hello S293,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern.

Norlevo is thought to prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation. It is most effective if taken as soon as possible, but not more than 72 hours (three days) after having unprotected sex.

To be on the safe side, a pregnancy test should be performed three to four weeks after taking Norlevo. A pregnancy test should definitely be performed if menstruation starts on time but appears abnormal – or if menstruation is more than five days delayed.

S293, vaginal bleeding and the results of a pregnancy test are the only ways to know whether or not you become pregnant.

Regards,
Maryann
