You mention that you are breastfeeding your 2 month old baby. Breast feeding does not offer any protection against pregnancy.
You mention that you had your most recent period from November 1 to 7. If your menstrual cycle has returned to normal after pregnancy, you could be ovulating again. So, if you and your husband engage in sex, he must wear a condom each time. That is the only way to prevent another pregnancy.
If your period for next month is late by more than one week, do take a home pregnancy test.
Once you see your obstetrician again, bring up the subject of birth control. Your physician can help you choose the type of birth control that works best for you.
