Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

Getting your period showed that you did not become pregnant.

The lining of the uterus, or endometrium, prepares each month for the implantation of an embryo. This preparation occurs under the influence of estrogen and progesterone from the ovary. If no pregnancy develops, the endometrium is shed as a menstrual period, about fourteen days after ovulation.

If you are trying to conceive, you have the best chance by having unprotected intercourse five days before ovulation and on the day of ovulation.

Regards,
Maryann
