Have you had unprotected sex since the last day of your period? Did your period end twelve days ago? Normally, how long is your menstrual cycle?
If your cycle is short, 22 days for example, then you could ovulate just days after your period. Having unprotected sex after the last day of your period could cause pregnancy.
A pregnancy test is the only way to know. Early result pregnancy tests are available. This type of home pregnancy test allows you to test as early as five days before your expected period.
Home pregnancy tests detect hCG levels in urine. hCG is a hormone that is produced only during pregnancy. Levels increase as your pregnancy progresses.
