I took both pills in one dosage, is this dangerous or less effective? Also, what are the usual side effects after taking the pills and how soon after? I took the pills about a 17 days ago and now I'm spotting ( not heavy but blood is present). Could this be a side effect?

i took postinor 2 twice within 3 days time after having unprotected sex..will the pill work?

Each pack of Postinor 2 contains two tablets. Postinor 2 can help prevent pregnancy if the first tablet is taken within 72 hours or 3 days of having unprotected sex. The tablets are more effective if they are taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex. The second tablet must be taken 12 hours but no more than 16 hours after the first tablet.
Is this how you took it? The pill is most effective when taken as soon as possible.
Or did you take two packs of Postinor 2 within 3 days ( in total 4 pills within a 3 day period)? If so, consult your gynecologist regarding how this impacts your hormonal balance.

took 2 packs within 3 days bcz i had unprotected sex..im not in a position to contact a gynocologist..will this work? im scared that i might get conceived?

Postinor 2 contains 750 micrograms of the drug levonorgestrel. It is a high dose of a synthetic hormone similar to the female hormone progesterone.
The higher than recommended dose that you took, by taking two doses within 3 days, will definitely prevent pregnancy. But, I cannot tell you how this overdose will affect your hormonal balance or menstrual cycle. That is why I suggested you see your doctor.
Postinor 2 is intended for emergency use, not as a regular form of birth control. If you cannot afford a visit to the gynecologist or birth control pills. consider having your partner use a condom.

No. In fact, some women may have spotting or bleeding within the first week of taking emergency contraception; most women will have their next period within seven days of when it is usually due.

postinor2 pills shoud be taken 12 hours apart but i took the 2nd pill of postinor2 five minutes before completing the 12 hours..is it ok?

Yes, it is okay. Taking the second dose five minutes late will not lessen its effectiveness.
