I am a 20 year old girl.
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend today on d 2nd day of my cycle.
We had sex on floor to minimize the menstrual bleeding and after ejaculating inside me he made
Me stand so dat the semen can leave the vagina and can come out.
It came out along with the menstrual blood.

Is there any chance of me getting pregnant?what should I do now? Please reply ASAP.

Hello Anonymous,

There is no chance of you becoming pregnant because you are having your period.

Standing up following intercourse does not prevent pregnancy. Of the millions of sperm in ejaculated semen, it only takes one to fertilize an egg. To become pregnant, one of your ovaries must release an egg. This is known as ovulation. When you start your period, ovulation has passed.

Guide (reply to Anonymous)

Hello Anonymous,

I am confused. Were you actually having your period when you had this sexual encounter? Were you having vaginal bleeding on January 30? If you are bleeding, you are not pregnant and should not take an emergency contraceptive pill. Actually by the time you read my reply, it is too late anyway.

Maryann
