Possibility of pregancy if missed pill was after unprotected sex?

On the first week of pills (I've been taking them consistently for 5 months), I had unprotected sex on the 4th and 6th day of the pack. I took my pills consistently and abstained from sex but forgot my pill on the 2nd week (12th day of pack). I took that pill at 2 am the next morning when I remembered and then took the 13th day pill 4 hours late. I am still taking the rest of my pills consistently and not having sex. . Wondering if my chances of pregnancy increased.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

When you say that you had unprotected sex on the 4th and 6th day of your active pills, I am assuming you missed the dose. Did you make up for the missed doses?

There should have been no risk for pregnancy with missing your pill on the second week because you have abstained even though you missed a dose, made up for it and then took a dose late.

You are most at risk for conceiving if you miss seven consecutive days of active hormone pills. That can be two days at the beginning of a new pack (5 days of inactive pills + 2 days of active pills) or last week of active pills.

The only way to know is if your next period does not start while on the inactive pills.

Regards,
Maryann
