Pregnancy

Hi
Well on the 1st June I made a really grave mistake. No intercourse but I did engage in some sexual activities that have a low risk of pregnancy. My boyfriend ejaculated on himself. He didn't have his pants on at the time but I was all covered. I have no idea if he wiped it off properly and anything got on his hands but after he fingered me and I'm afraid that I could've been in my fertile window.
I mentioned this to him and he just laughed and thinks I'm crazy. I don't know if I have any symptoms but I've noticed my vaginal discharge is clearer than normal and I'm suppose to start in the next couple of days. I can't talk to anybody in my family because I come from a very cultural background and have been hit severely before (a different situation which wasn't my fault) and I know that will happen again if I mention anything about this. My vaginal discharge is not like how it regularly. Before it was white but now it's clear watery like and I'm suppose to start my period in the next couple of days. If I am pregnant I know the easiest option would have an abortion but seriously I do not want that either because it was my fault I'm in this situation and I'd have a really bad conscience. I don't know what else I could look for and Im just going to do stressed if I miss my period.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community for support. We are here to listen, offer advice if possible and not to judge. I can appreciate your anxiety based on your cultural background and past experience.

Indeed, there is a risk especially if you were not wearing clothes and semen came in contact with your outer genitalia. Though it may seem hard, do try to relax. As you mentioned, stressing out can further delay the start of your period.

If your periods are normally regular, wait at least one week. If it starts, you have nothing to worry about because you did not become pregnant. If it is late, test for pregnancy. Test first thing in the morning. The first urine of the day is concentrated and provides the most accurate result.

Anonymous, please do not blame yourself. It will accomplish nothing, but make you feel worse.
To prevent this from happening again, please consider, if it is acceptable, to use some type of birth control. Our contraceptive home page offers information. https://www.empowher.com/contraception

Regards,
Maryann
