Q:

Pregnancy... Is it possible? Am I paranoid?

On the 14th of November, I had unprotected sex. My partner did NOT ejaculate and he says that he is sure that no pre-ejaculation came out, but I realize that unprotected sex is unprotected sex and unfortunately anything is possible.
On the 16th of November, I got my period.
On the 17th of November (today), I took 1 out of 2 "Postinor-2" tablets (within 72 hours of the unprotected sex.) I did not have the second one as I could not find it.
My questions are: could I be pregnant? Would my period not have come on the 16th if I had been/was pregnant? The reason I am asking this question is because I know that there was basically only a 48 hour window between the sex and the period, so I'm not sure whether or not that would have stopped my menstrual cycle.

Hello pandahansah,

Thank you for coming to us with your questions.

Since you started your period on November 16, there was no need to take Postinor 2. Getting your period meant you did not conceive when you had unprotected sex just two days earlier.

Are you still having your period now?

Regards,
Maryann

Hi Maryann!

Thanks for your answer. It certainly put my mind at ease.

Yes, I am still on my period. Here in Asia it's Wednesday afternoon and I was spotting today/had my mid-week period break (where it stops/slows for a day and then resumes for another day and then it's finished altogether.)

Best wishes
