Q:

Pregnancy worries WITHOUT intercourse?

I can't believe I'm asking this but I'm starting to freak out a little bit.
A few days after my period ended, my boyfriend and I were "messing around." He put his bare penis up to my bare vagina and started rubbing before I told him to stop and put on a condom. (I'm not on any other form of birth control right now.) No ejaculation and no penetration, just possible precm on my vagina.
I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now my period is a few days late - I've had some weird light brown spotting with period-esque cramps, but no period. My breasts are tender and look a little bigger to me, and my skin has absolutely exploded with acne (although that is not unusual for me). I'm kind of freaking out.

I am absolutely exhausted, but to be fair, I have been sleeping an average of four hours a night and have a whole lot of stress in my life right now. We haven't even had sex yet because I am undergoing treatment for vaginsmus - penetration and intercourse is too painful for me, something I'm working on with physical therapy.

I took a sensitive early test the day my period should have come, and it was negative, but still no period. A pregnancy would be absolutely devastating, especially without intercourse - I'm not even sure my boyfriend would believe me. :(

I should mention that I recently stopped taking the Pill because it was making me super depressed and physically ill. I was told to expect some cycle weirdness after stopping, but I'd gone through two full cycles and my period seemed perfectly normal.
Am I making myself nuts or is there a real risk here?

Thanks very much for your help.

Can pre cum on the outside of the vagina, not in the hole get you pregnant? We've never had sex, his penis never went inside me! This happened on April 23rd! Since then I've had bleeding on 6th May, 3rd June and 3rd July however the bleeding was lighter than usual! It around 12 is weeks now I got an ultrasound done which was clear and have done over 40 pregnancy tests! I have stomach cramps and back pains - could I be preganant?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Pre-ejaculate itself does not contain any sperm. Sperm may be inside the urethra if a man ejaculated recently and did not urinate since. If he urinated since he last ejaculated, there is no sperm at all. Pregnancy is very uncommon from pre-ejaculate and the urethra would have to contain sperm at the same time. A woman would also have to be ovulating and engage in unprotected intercourse with ejaculation.

Okay so yesterday me and my boyfriend were hanging out. There was no penetration, but I gave him a handjob and he did finish. He wiped up a bit of the cum with his hand and wiped it on his jeans and blanket. Then a few minutes later he fingered me. I have heard that sperm doesn't last long in the air and that it is less effective also that way, is there any chance that any perhaps leftover sperm that was on his hand could have made me pregnant?

Hello, I can't believe I am commenting this but have been super stressed. June 27th me and my boyfriend got carried away from a simple make out into what they call (dry humping) I had my boy shorts undees on but he ended up with nothing on. He ejaculated on my undees which I took off right away. I wore the same shorts I had around my ankles when this happened for about 30 min when I thought I felt something wet in them I immediately changed not knowing if it was mine or his. I was supposed to get my period that next day. Being who he is after I told him about the shorts he immediately went and bought a plan b one step pill and brought it to me. It's now July 5th and I still haven't gotten my period. My period is always weird and never is same time every month. Me and him are both very stressed about this. Could I be pregnant? (Took plan b one step 2 days after this)

I have read through nearly every single comment and response in this thread but I was hoping for some perspective on my particular situation as I value any outside professional advice to the paranoid and at times illogical thoughts that have been racing through my head recently....

My boyfriend and I are waiting till marriage but in order to relieve our high sex drives, we have touched each other and grinded against each other when the urge becomes overwhelming.

My last period was to my knowledge the last week of May. Then on the 10th of this month before I went out of town for a week he and I got a bit carried away... He was rubbing himself against my pubic area (no penetration whatsoever) and I was grinding against him for a few minutes until I came to climax several times. He didn't climax at all and there was no ejaculation. He did however attempt to put his finger into me but I stopped him before he could barely get the tip of it in as I know I had been grinding against him and there could have been pre-ejaculate near my entrance.

The next day I left for my trip. About 4 days later (June 14th) I had a few minutes of feeling slightly nauseous when I woke up but I attributed that to all the alcohol I consumed the previous night. I also was feeling incredibly bloated (which again, I wrote off as being a result of the alcohol)

I returned from my trip and was to be getting my period on the 24th of this month according to my tracking application but instead of bleeding as I normally do at the start of my period, I found that my symptoms rather consist of constant mild cramping, breast tenderness and slight swelling, and intermittent fatigue. It is now the 28th (4days past the expected date of my period starting) and I still have not started bleeding at all and my earlier symptoms have only continued.

I have had very poor quality of sleep recently, have had incredibly high stress at work and at home and additionally, the stress of my period being late is also likely capable of contributing to my late period - this I know

I am merely hoping that based upon my symptoms, my description of the time I was with my boyfriend and my circumstances could offer you enough information to give your opinion as to whether or not I should have any concern over potentially being pregnant or if I am blowing it out of proportion and am causing my period to be late because of my worrying.

Thank you so very much for your time and advice in advance. I greatly appreciate it!

Have a lovely day!

Hey there! So I am in a shockingly similar situation to you! Even waiting until marriage but not always great at avoiding the other stuff. I'm not in any birth control, nor do we use condoms when fooling around. In the past I've been a little too paranoid when my period was late even without having sex. So this month when my period didn't show up in time I wasn't even worried, I was just enjoying the bonus week without it! It didn't even occur to me to consider pregnancy until I was nauseous for 2 days straight and my roommate jokingly said "you're not pregnant are you?" I laughed and said "Nope!" Thinking I was totally in the clear. But then the next day the nausea continued I noticed other signs as well - increased breast, tender nipples, more that usual clear discharge, head aches, etc. Well... I decided I wasn't going to freak out this time and I wasn't going to tell my boyfriend unless I was 100% positive because it just causes him unnecessary worry. At this point I was a full week late. And then more I thought about the past month the more I realized how many times we had been pretty careless and very close. Including one night when I was drunk and not paying close attention to proximity. I decided I would just take a pregnancy test and take away the geuss work! But Unfortunately the test wasn't that clear... it wasnt an obvious negative with absolutely no vertical line, but the supposed positive line wasn't that dark or thick either. It was a ept blue dye test. So I tested again yesterday at 10 days late (for the most part I have typical 30 day cycle) and AGAIN the test wasn't clearly yes or no!! This time used a pink dye test. And I don't want to misread a possible evaporation line even though it showed up within the 2 minute time frame. Im sooo confused! On one hand I understand just how slight the chances really are, on the other hand my boobs have never been this big and my period has never been this late! And I really would just like a definitive yes or no from a hpt!

About a week ago, I almost had sex but he just put the head in and it had precum on it. After that I told him to stop but he fingered me after and then tried to put the head in again but I said no. I was in my fertile window at the time and I am a day late on my period. Could I be pregnant? Ive done my research about getting pregnant from precum and they said the sperm is mostly dead but I have been peeing frequently and having cramps on and off in my uterus
