Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Ecee 2 is an emergency contraceptive marketed in India The main ingredient is levonorgestrol, which is same synthetic hormone found in emergency contraceptives, such as Plan B and Postinor 2.

According to information posted on the website, MeDIndia, these are the directions on how you should take the pill.
"Oral- Emergency contraception- Adult: 1.5 mg as soon as possible or within 72 hours of coitus. Alternatively, 750 mcg as soon as possible or within 72 hours of coitus followed by a 2nd dose 12 hour later. Another regimen combines levonorgestrel 500 mcg and ethinylestradiol 100 mcg; may be given within 72 hours of coitus followed by a 2nd dose 12 hours later."

So, depending on the dose of Ecee 2 that you had, you should have taken one dose within 72 hours, OR one dose and the second dose 12 hours later. Either one or two pills ONLY.

Do not take another dose. It is an emergency contraceptive. It should not be used for routine birth control.

Any further concerns must be discussed with your gynecologist who is more familiar with this pill than I am.

Regards,
Maryann
