Q:

Is there any possible way to be pregnant from this? I'm so stressed out.

Okay, so I know a ton of people have asked this, but there's so many answers that vary like crazy! Anyways... I have been off and on birth control, because I kept messing it up.. however, I took the pills for at least a complete month, but I missed the last 4 green pills (but it says that there's no hormones in the green pills, so I don't think it matters..) Anyways, I was fooling around with my boyfriend about 2 days after my period and sorry about the details I'm about to share but... He fingered me, then I pulled my panties back up, He put me on my side and with his boxers on, dry humped my butt..... (again, sorry for the details) I gave him a hand job, he ejaculated on my hand and his... and then we both wiped our hands with a pair of shorts. After that, we both put on our pants and just kissed for awhile.. when I went home, I knew I had to clean up, but without thinking, I didn't wash my hands and I touched inside my vagina a bit.. now I know how paranoid and crazy this all sounds, but I guess it's because an unwanted pregnancy is pretty much a nightmare to me. Is there anyway that I could be pregnant? I am continuing the next pill pack but I'm freaking out because I have like 3 weeks until my period and that's a lot of time to sit around and just think and wait. I have definitely learned my lesson, and will not be continuing oral sex (or any kind of sex) until I am more knowledgeable and wise.

Hello Sheeperlink,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am glad you reached out to us.
There was no risk for pregnancy because you did not have intercourse. By the time you got home, any trace of semen would have dried and any possible sperm was dead. Sperm can live outside the body for about 20 minutes.

Thank you so much. That is great to hear! So I don't have to worry? I have one more question! So, if a woman gives a b-job... and swallows, she cannot get pregnant correct?

Hello Sheeperlink,

Glad to have helped. You have nothing to worry about. You cannot become pregnant during oral sex.

Maryann

Hello Maryann! I can't help but still be nervous. I am so paranoid about this situation. It's keeping me up at night. Some people I've asked just say "I THINK you're okay" "You SHOULD be alright." "It's unlikely" I'm just getting thrown off. Are you positive that there is absolutely no risk from slightly touching the inside of my vagaina with dry sperm?

Hello Sheeperlink,

Positive. Once again, when semen has dried, sperm is dead.

Hello Maryann! So just an update.. I had this milky-like white discharge a day after I've been fingered. It has been about a week - two weeks since the incident with touching myself with dry semen on my fingers and my breasts are also kind of tender. Is this a sign or am I just being paranoid?

Hello Sheeperlink,

The discharge and breast tenderness could be signs that you are ovulating. Try to stop overthinking this and stressing out. That can cause a delay in the start of your period.

Maryann

Okay! I'm on the pill though. I thought you don't ovulate when I'm the pill. I have about 2 weeks until my period.
