Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for asking this important question. Frequently we receive posts from women who have taken an emergency contraceptive more than once in a one month period.

Postinor 2, like all emergency contraceptives, contains a high dose of a synthetic hormone and works by preventing ovulation. These pills are intended to be used in emergency situations only. They should never be used as a form of birth control.

If Postinor is used more than once in a menstrual cycle, it is more likely to upset your menstrual cycle.

Regards,
Maryann
