My boyfriend and i have been dating for a little over 7 months, we both lost our virginities with eachother but the past few weeks when i've asked for sex he seems uninterested. Its really starting to get me down. He's 20 years of age and i want to know is it my fault he doesn't want me? Any idea's?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question, and for finding EmpowHER. There are a lot of reasons that could be the cause for your boyfriend's apparent lack of interest in sex, but please know, regardless of the reason, it's not your fault. It is not your job to make him interested in sex. For a minute, remove the sex question from your relationship--how is everything else? Are you getting along, do you enjoy time together? If you are certain that the relationship hasn't just run its course and it's time to move on, then you can try to work on building a stronger foundation to the relationship in this time. What do you think of that? Bear in mind, I'm not a therapist, I'm just speaking from years of relationship of experience.
