Daily exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle and especially important for people at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. The American Diabetes Association recommends aerobic exercises such as brisk daily walks or playing tennis. If you have been inactive, begin with 5 to 10 minutes of exercise each day and gradually increase to reach the goal of 30 minutes daily.
