Life Coach Crystal Dwyer describes how a woman with menopausal-related insomnia can benefit from hypnotherapy.

Crystal Dwyer:
You know, there’s a lot of science now behind the, what I call the thought-emotion feedback loop, and that is, you know, our thoughts actually create real chemistry in our minds. They create emotions. Or actually, what happens is our thoughts trigger emotions. The emotions create chemistry, and those chemicals literally flood our bodies docking on to cells.

So, one of the ways that hypnosis can help with insomnia, if a woman is going through menopause, particularly, is that a lot of hormonal chemical changes are happening. So we can create some of these beautiful positive thoughts, beautiful guided imagery in the hypnosis. It literally creates chemistry, real chemistry, and those chemicals will flood the body just like all of the other chemicals that are going on and sometimes helps soften the effects of those harsh, hormonal effects, chemical effects that are happening within our bodies. It’s really a great supportive help to a woman who is going through hormonal changes or really, any kind of change or transition that brings about stress or chemistry changes in the brain.
